ABOUT THE GOURMET GROCER

The Gourmet Grocer is a family run business based in Fordingbridge on the outskirts of the New Forest. Established in November 2017 by Husband and Wife team Gareth and Clare Johnston. We offer an array of high quality, locally sourced produce including fresh fruit and vegetables and an extensive range of locally sourced produce, cheese, chutneys, preserves, bread, eggs, gifts, gift hampers and much more.

The idea of The Gourmet Grocer was born from many conversations about what our little town was lacking and a desire for a new career path. After a trip to the Cotswolds we stumbled across a lovely little greengrocers and the light bulb moment happened. The next steps happened organically when a shop presented itself to us and as they say, the rest is history. The shop and all it offers has evolved hugely since those early days and we continue to grow our services to support the community around us. 

We passionately believe in supporting other local businesses; the shop and all it offers combines our love for food, local produce and high quality products. We pride ourselves on serving our customers with some of the very best food and drink available from Fordingingbridge, The New Forest and the surrounding areas.

Our shop continues to be a family affair with Gareth and Clare at the helm and their two young sons Kayden and Theo often helping where they can, operating with as mush passion and inspiration as The Gourmet Grocer has had from the very start.
